FAQ

You will soon be able to switch to Karlssonn as your new electricity provider and receive cheaper solar power direct from the roof of our building! Watch the entrance areas and your mailbox for info posters on how to switch to solar power from our own roof!
Optional: you may to provide your email in the form below – if you do, we’ll send you an alert as soon as the Karlssonn switch for our building is possible (probably sometime around June/July).
While waiting for our building to get ready, you can have a sneak peak at the Karlssonn info flyer.

With smart meters, you will be able to check your eletricity use online in a web portal as often as you want. No need to email the building janitor 😉 Full transparency on your energy consumption awaits!

The owners decided to install a solar power plant on the roof of our building. In order to distribute the generated electricity inside the building, all existing electricity meters have to be replaced with smart meters.

The WEG must submit a list of all meter numbers with the corresponding account holder names to be allowed to install the new smart meters.

Switching to a smart meter is covered by the WEG budget for the solar plant, so no extra fee will be charged to you!

Don’t plan on signing up for solar power? That’s fine, but you should provide your data nonetheless! That way, you (or any future owner/tenant of your unit) will always have the option of switching to cheaper solar power.

In that case, your meter cannot be upgraded for free at this time and you will keep your old meter. This means:

  • you LOSE the opportunity of upgrading your meter without an extra fee
  • your unit will NOT be able to receive cheap electricity from the builidings solar plant – not now and not in the future
  • you will NOT be able to check your electricity use online – generating extra work and extra costs whenever someone moves out – for you and the WEG…
  • if you later on change your mind and decide you do want to check your electricity use online and need a smart meter, you will have to request the upgrade individually from the grid operator. Your will be charged an INSTALLATION FEE and since you will be on an individual contract, your MONTHLY METER FEES will probably be higher than for the rest of the units in the building who are on the solar power plant smart meter bulk contract.
